We are a small 2 person operation located in lovely Canterbury, New Hampshire very near the Canterbury Shaker Village. Hope started knitting about 6 years ago and delved deeper and deeper into the process from Sheep to shawl. She found she had to learn to be a wool judge before she could really make good choices of the fleeces she buys from local farmers. The process of buying raw fleeces, cleaning them (called scouring), prepping the fiber for carding and dyeing and spinning the final prepared fiber is an artistic journey. The amazement of taking a fleece that only a mother could love and scouring it and finding a beautiful fiber is sometimes like panning for gold. You don't always know what you are going to find under the layers. Then comes dyeing the fiber (unless it is left it's natural color) although Hope has worked out recipes for her special colorways, the fiber is a canvas and the outcome is never exactly the same way twice.

Normally you will find us at the Concord Arts Market in the summer and early fall. Stop and say hello at one of our shows!
